Shebalance is a hormonal health tracking app. We built it local-first: your symptom logs, profile, and notes live on your device. We don't require an account. We don't sell your data. We don't use advertising trackers. This page explains exactly what data the app touches and what your rights are.
Shebalance ("the app", "we", "our") is published by Appshealthy. You can reach us at hello@appshealthy.com.
The following is stored locally on your phone and never leaves it unless you take an explicit action:
This data is stored using Hive, an encrypted local database, in the app's private storage directory. It is not readable by other apps on your device.
If you choose to generate an AI insight, the following is sent to our server (and from there to Anthropic's Claude API for processing):
We do not send your full name, email address, location, or any device identifier. Anthropic processes the request and returns text; neither we nor Anthropic retain the prompt long-term for training. See Anthropic's privacy policy for their handling of API data.
These actions generate a file on your device and open your system share sheet. You choose what to do with the file. We never see it.
Where GDPR applies:
Shebalance is local-first — all your data lives on your device only. There is no account to delete because there is no account in the first place. You can erase every byte the app has ever stored about you in one of three ways:
What gets deleted: everything the app stored locally — profile, symptoms, cycle data, notes, mood, reminders, AI insight history. What we retain: nothing personal. Our AI proxy server keeps only anonymous request timing and status logs for up to 14 days, with no payload content.
You can exercise the following rights at any time, from inside the app, without contacting us:
If you live in the EU/EEA, UK, or California and have concerns, contact us at hello@appshealthy.com. EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority.
Shebalance is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us and we will delete any associated data.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS for every network call). Local data is stored in the app's private sandbox. We do not store passwords (there are no accounts). We rotate API keys promptly if any suspected exposure occurs.
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in-app before they take effect.
